Catherine Mattice Zundel, MA, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, is a professional consultant and trainer who assists organizations in developing systemic action plans to build positive corporate cultures. Through Civility Partners, Catherine offers consulting and training in the areas of internal communication processes, conflict resolution, workplace bullying, diversity, intercultural communication, hostile work environments, and interpersonal communication skills. 

Civility Partners has had the pleasure of working with a variety of universities, hospitals, government agencies, non-profit organizations, and private businesses in a variety of industries. 

Catherine has presented her research and training programs both nationally and internationally. She has also made several appearances on news stations around the country, including NPR, and she has been cited in such media outlets as Forbes, Inc Magazine, Entrepreneur and USA Today.  

She is co-author of the book, BACK OFF! Your Kick-A** Guide to Ending Bullying at Work, with a foreword by Ken Blanchard, who called it, “the most comprehensive and valuable handbook on the topic.” Her second book is entitled, Seeking Civility: How Leaders, Managers and HR Can Create a Workplace Free of Bullying. Catherine has also published articles in a wide variety of industry trade magazines including in HR, leadership, safety, personal development, employee assistance, and others. 

Catherine is Past-President of the Association for Talent Development (ATD), San Diego Chapter, and an adjunct professor at National University. She received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in communication from San Diego State University.
